The International Seminar on Culture and Climate Change took place on November 4 and 5, 2024 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. This event formed part of Brazil’s activities during its 2024 G20 Summit, organized by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI).

During the panel discussion “Culture, cosmologies and climate: building bridges between worldviews for a sustainable future,” Saraceno was in conversation with Patricia Pinho, Deputy Director of Science at IPAM (Amazon Environmental Research Institute) and a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); Daniel Munduruku, a Brazilian writer, teacher, actor, and Indigenous activist from the Munduruku people; and Fabio Scarano,  Curator of the Museum of Tomorrow, holder of the UNESCO Chair in Futures Literacy, and Full Professor of Ecology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. 

The talk was moderated by Bruno Monteiro, Secretary of Culture, Government of the State of Bahia.
